Find your pace in the heart of Dominica
There are no mega-resorts here, and that is the point. Mornings begin in cloud forest, afternoons in a river pool, evenings in a sulphur bath with rum and someone's grandmother's recipe on the stove. Every route we build is walked first by the guides who grew up on it.
Small groups, island-owned lodges, and a promise to leave each valley exactly as loud as we found it.

Dominica does not perform for visitors. The Boiling Lake steams whether you arrive or not, the sperm whales stay all year, and the Kalinago have held this coast for centuries. Our work is simply to slow you down enough to notice it, and to make sure the money stays on the island.
Every journey funds trail maintenance on the Waitukubuli National Trail.

About Feel Dominica
Built by the people who live up the valley
A collective, not an agency
Feel Dominica began in 2009 as four guides sharing one minibus and a satellite phone. Today we are eighteen people: trail guides, boat captains, cooks, a botanist and two lodge families, all living between Roseau and the Kalinago Territory.
We keep groups to eight, pay our guides above the island rate, and route every journey through businesses owned by Dominicans. After Maria we rebuilt trails before we rebuilt the website, and we would do it in that order again.
What we promise is modest: rain when it rains, honesty about the walk ahead, and a table worth lingering at afterwards.

Ask us anythingDominica is green year-round. December to May is drier and ideal for the Boiling Lake; June to November is lusher, quieter and better for river bathing. Whale season never really ends.
Most journeys are gentle: river walks, reef drifts, village visits. The Boiling Lake traverse is a full-day hike over rough ground; we will tell you honestly if it suits you.
Guides, transport on-island, lodges, most meals, park permits and boat charters. Flights to Dominica and travel insurance are yours to arrange.

No. Dominica is a small, independent island nation between Guadeloupe and Martinique: English-speaking, volcanic, and proudly without mega-resorts.
